Becky,I think a cinema screen on Strelley would be a great idea. You could test out how long it took for the relevant authorities to come and remove it compared to the time here - which would be infinite as they just can't be bothered!
Chris can you keep an the scores it seems an absolutely crucial game for both. Hope the jobs in the TES are worth pursuing.
Have been musing over the derivation of the name Vejer. Before it was de la Frontera it was de la miel - yet I've never seen a honeybee in the vicinity and umbrella pine forests don't make good sources of nectar. I wonder if Vejer was formerly Abejar - a beehive - refering to the shape of ther hill and town? Cheers Bill
sounds like you should go and speak to the bloke in the bric a brac/ lighting shop with the old radios and posters of film stars..I'm sure he'd keep you "entertained" for hours with the history of the name Vejer.... on to more pressing matters f national interest..
ReplyDeleteHonours pretty much even at Headingley
Yorks 261
Kent 216-6
Somerset well placed
Durham 286
Somerset 226-4 so they look more likely champions at the moment especially as Notts game against Lancs has had lots of rain. Could rain at most grounds tomorrow.
Leeds reign as top Yorkshire club was shortlived
Barnsley 5 leeds 2
CP 4 Portsmouth 1
quiet day today, going to visit Brookfield in Chesterfield on Friday x
Hi You Guys,Just logged on again after a few days, glad all well at your end. Please don't do any DIY. We will do that together or get someone to do it. We have booked 6 days in Vejer end of Oct.
ReplyDeleteHenry had his elbow op on Monday and Caz joined the CK team in Paris on Monday. We are off to London tomorrow afternoon until Sunday to see them both. Always look forward to London town, altho it won't be the same without Cazza, when she goes.

Hola
ReplyDeleteI hope your dongle has arrived by now - the lady in the Post Office said it would be 3 - 4 days!!
We sang on the Band Stand for the start of the Saltaire Festival on Sunday - big crowds, lots of difference performers - only 10 of us sang but we did really well and we all enjoyed it. The weather was perfect and we had a big family picnic afterwards (Luciana was thrilled!)for Janes birthday and one of the jazz bands played Happy Birthday to her - great afternoon.
Its Otley Folk festival as well as Saltaire festival this weekend so don't know which to go to - decisions, decisions.
Send some of your hot weather over here, it's getting a bit chilly.
All is well round at your house but the roofing chap hasn't been yet, been eating some of your red apples, very tasty.
Lots of love
Jean and Ron xx
